PA Announcer (I'm not talking about football)

Just curious what others think of the PA Announcer at PBA? I (as well as my son) personally do not care for his style. I think we both would rather have Steve Johnson (NU Volleyball PA announcer who did basketball for a year or two before we left the BDSC) back behind the mic for basketball but I'm just curious about others thoughts.

If Steve Johnson did basketball it's been 12+ years ago. Patrick Combs did it through Sadler's tenure until they made changes when Miles was hired.

I think the Runza on the 65th point is really unique and adds something.   I know the guy who does it now and he is a nice guy and I think he does a good job.   Has done state tournament games for years also.  Overall though I don't think the PA announcer really has much impact on my enjoyment of the game either way.

The new football guy was hired yesterday and fired today.

Ixnay on the eadjackthray.

We just don't do that kinda thing around here.  -_-

I've had a bad habit of it lately.  :P

It's not just you and it's not just lately.

We could practically rename the board Husker Threadjack Central.

It's about time for the season to tip-off, that's for sure!

Not a big deal to me one way or the other.  I do have a couple friends that tried to get the PA job for football.  it was a long shot, but they did get a nice letter from the U thanking them for applying and they would keep them in mind for any future openings for Announcers. Hell we even got Facebook Campains rolling for them.
