2015-16 Basketball Schedule

Just got an e-mail from Rick Boyages from the Big Ten.  The BIG schedule will come out Thursday at 5:00 p.m. central on BTN.

So how many Tuesday, Sunday evening games will we get this year? Some Saturday night games for us out of towners would be nice!

I also hope that not all of the weeknight games start at 8pm, although it seems now that they have 14 conference teams they do a lot of 6pm central tipoffs for an eastern time zone game followed by an 8pm central tipoff for a central time zone game. Makes for a somewhat late night getting back to Omaha.

I would guess that some times will come out but most will likely be TBA until the various televison partners select the games they want to air.

I hear ya...I'm 180 miles away and those Sunday night games can be troublesome.

No times, no TV assignments, so basically they're just giving us the dates, and a couple of those are tentative.

 

And not sure how accurate these are - if it's accurate, it says right now that we're playing twice on Saturday 1/16 - apparently opening the day at Mich St, then flying to Champaign to play Illinois at night. Tough double-header.

Looks like at PBA in the B1G there will be:

 

2 Tuesday games - 1/12 vs Minnesota, 3/1 vs Purdue (senior day)

2 Wednesday games - 12/30 vs N'western, 2/3 vs Maryland

4 Saturday games - 1/2 vs Indiana, 1/23 vs Michigan, 2/6 vs Rutgers, 2/13 vs PSU

1 Sat or Sun game - 2/20 or 21 vs Ohio St

We play at Illinois on January 16th and at Michigan State on the 20th. Most of our conference games will be on BTN, I see no more than a handful on the ESPN Family of Networks, and those that are will likely be on ESPNU or ESPN2 at best (the game at Wisconsin could be on ESPN as could the Ohio State game here in Lincoln but that's about all I see on the main network).

There are 8 games scheduled for the ESPN family of networks right now with a couple of the TBA's probably landing there as well. I think that's pretty good.

33% of conference games on ESPN. You're complaining about that?

FWIW, the entire schedule is updated in the original post of the pinned thread "2015-16 Husker opponents," including the exhibition on Nov. 8th vs Northern State.

I'm not complaining about what games are what network, it really doesn't affect me since I attend almost every home game and like many people have satellite to watch the away games or games I can't get down to watch in Lincoln. I'm surprised there are that many games on the ESPNs actually.
