Now this is my kind of thread!  (Don't know Beans   ;)  about BB, but do like to eat!)

Grew up with Hot Dogs (Wilbur Wieners - Sadly, long defunct).  Don't know if it was the Hot Dogs or, as a kid, it was just easy to say (try it real fast 10x)!

How do you grill your corn 'col'  husk off, or husk on?

Huskers off, season the cob, butter it up and stick it in Al foil

Thanks 'Col.'

If you like BBQ'ing corn, here's a recipe I might share you may want to try sometime.

Try grilling it with the husk still on! (a whole new flavor wink.gif)

1. Peel back the husks (but don't break them off at the bottom).
2. Remove the Silk.
3. Replace husks over the cob (you may want to tie the husks at the end with string/twine).
4. Grill (corn is done when the husks are brown - YUM).

(You may want to soak the corn in salt water; I've had good results either way.)

Played 18 with youngest son at Woodland Hills. Then ate T-bone steaks, with taters and salad and watermelon. Gave second oldest son, who has failing kidneys and Crohn's disease, a long good bye hug...they live in Chicago. Other son and daughter called me. Great day.

Red don, I soak my corn in water 20 to 30 minutes then grill until the corn dents the husks. I like mine with kernels with just a hint on brown on them

It was a busy (but satisfying) weekend at the Peterson house.  Everyone headed all different directions and back.  Wife figured just some finger food for din-din with maybe chips and salsa and perhaps some guacamole.

I say nay nay.

So, I dug in the fridge and found some leftover chicken thigh-leg quarters we'd had for dinner a couple of nights earlier.  Wife had kinda made a curry sauce to go on them and cooked them in the curry sauce.  I repurposed them.  Pulled all the usable meat I could off the bones.  Slivered an onion.  Chopped up the chicken.  Tossed the onions in a hot skillet with some oil and butter until they wilted and started to caramelize.  Added the chicken, some chili powder, salt, pepper, lime juice (the chicken was already seasoned with cumin from the curry) and heated it through.

Before that, though, I diced about 4 medium tomatoes and a Vidalia onion, took some thawed sweet corn that we put up last fall, and a can of black beans.  Combined all that with some lime juice, cumin, salt, pepper, chili powder, minced fresh jalepenos and cilantro to make some corn and black bean salsa (which was fantastic, BTW.)

Then, while the chicken and onions cooked, I whipped up some homemade guac and set the whole assortment out on the counter for everyone to just sort of feed themselves whilst I poured some tequila, triple sec, lime juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker full of ice and proceeded to make myself a big-ass margarita.

And then I sat down to watch the end of the U.S. Open.

Which was nice.
