New Huskers arrive today

Recommended Posts

Also 2015 incoming freshman Bakari Evelyn who could be a contributor this year.  He seemed very excited to become a Husker!  :)

It would be great if Jack McVeigh is able to qualify for the Exhibition Tour to Spain.  I'm not sure whether transfer Anton Gill is eligible for the Tour since he must sit-out this year.

McVeigh can go if he completes 6 credit hours this summer first.

If this was North Carolina he would get 6 hours of credit for finding his way to campus.

He'd get an easy, breezy 3 for signing his name with an 'X' on his LOI to be a Tarheel! ;)

Brian Rosenthal tweeted the requirement was 6 credit hours, but Lee Barfknecht in an OWH article said it was only 3 credit hours.  Don't know which is correct!

Lee Barfknecht, OWH, 3/10/15.

The NCAA manual states that schools may take one foreign trip every four years, but not in a season in which games are to be played in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the preseason NIT. Incoming freshmen and junior college transfers are eligible if they earn three credit hours in the summer before the trip begins.

Rosenthal was my source, so you can blame me if Lee B. is right.

I wonder what the 5 week courses they'll ask McVeigh take will be. He's gonna have a rigorous summer as it is. I've take those 5 weekers before, they were exhausting.

I liked taking summer school.  Instead of 5 or 6 different sets of deadlines to keep in mind and juggle, you basically had just one or two sets of deadlines.  I found it far easier to keep on top of homework, etc., when I only had one or two classes at a time than when I had 5 or 6.

Put that another way:  If you're a procrastinator, it's easier to cram for 2 finals at the end of a 5 week session than to cram for 5 finals and a term paper at the end of a full semester.

Not enough no-doze in the world for me to go through college again.
