He wasn't going to be an all-B1G player or anything, but he has the potential to be a solid starter. I wish he played a little more at Tai's and Benny's expense last year. I simply didn't see what some others did. Wasn't a great finisher, wasn't a great shooter, wasn't great at anything. I was not disappointed at all that he left. Was completely ambivalent. Guys like him are a dime a dozen. Very easily replaced IMO. I like that he has combo guard skills, but I worry if he doesn't have the rest of the athletic tools for the B1G. He kinda reminds me of Hawkins in that regard. I don't know much about this kid. I just don't think it would be hard to be as good a player as Smith was. Most permiter Big ten recruits should be better than him IMO.
