Under the basket signs/props

Question. Is the first row under the basket the best spot for signs, whirly gadgets, and heads on a stick? I'm not here to argue if those things make a difference, but if they did, is the first row the spot? I don't know. That's why I'm asking.

First off, there needs to be more. Keep a bunch in row 1 as a distraction to get players looking down potentially. But shouldn't a whole bunch be clustered in row 10-12 so they're all around the backboard in the players line of sight as they look up and focus on the rim? Jadler aren't you in charge of something? Have you gone out there to shoot a freethrow to see what lines up as you eye the rim? Has anyone asked the players if something would bother them what would that be specifically? I guess the idea of head on stick is to get up toward rim level. Would whirly gadgets up a few rows be too far away?

always wonder why a school didn't have their students wear orange behind the basket. Won't that make the rim kind of hard to see? Does Illinios do this? Just something I think about at night when I can't sleep.
