Season Parking

Unless I missed it (which is possible) season parking passes for some of the garages in Lincoln are now on sale including the "Blue" and "Green" lots a couple of blocks south PBA. I snagged a pass for Red Lot 1 but that building is now sold out. If you need season parking go to this website:

There are at least two and possibly three new garages that will be open and available this year that were not open last year.  The Green 2 and Blue 3 garages, which are both immediately south of PBA and hold a huge number of cars.  And then the Leatherworks garage, which is just past the O St. viaduct on 7th street.  SUBSTANTIALLY more parking than a year ago.  This, of course, is very good news for everyone who goes to the games.

Edited:  My sense of direction is a little off today.  (Just today?  No, not just today.)

That would be a rather long cold walk from Haymarket Park to PBA wouldn't it?

There is a bridge from the south parking lot beyond right field to the arena.

While I have never parked there for basketball...I imagine a cold January day with 30 mile an hour winds could get a bit nippy...but so is the walk from several blocks away in any other direction.

For those that have parked there for basketball...how long does it take to get out compared to baseball season?

I parked there for every game last year.  It kind of depends on the game, game time of day, etc. as far as how long it takes to get out.  Longest was probably 10-12 minutes after the Tosu game.  Most games;  it was 3-5 minutes and not a lot of people parked over there.  It was only 8 dollars to park and if you live West of Lincoln (like I do) it is a easy shot out of town after the games.

I parked there every game last year. I don't remember more than 1 or 2 games that there was much of a wait in the parking lot. In fact, I was usually pulling into my driveway before Miles' postgame talk with Kent was even over.

As for the walk, it is maybe an extra 50 yards further than the PBA festival lot that it shares a pedestrian bridge with. It didn't take that long to walk.

Haymarket Park was $5 per game. PBA charged $8 for the lot that shares the same drive way and sidewalks.

I'll try and find the flyer from Saturday's football parking and post it if I come across it.

I'm in Red Lot 1 (same as last year), as far as exiting the garages after the games I've found that if I hang around for about 10-15 minutes after the game is over I generally get out very quickly. This also allows me to exit going south on Arena Way so I can get over to Rosa Parks and connect to I-80 to head east to Omaha quickly. If you try to exit the lot immediately or if you leave the game a with a few minutes remaining they force you to go north on Arena Way into the roundabouts north of the stadium and I find that to be an absolute mess. I would assume this is the same with the Green (Lot 2) Lot, not too sure about the Blue (Lot 3) Lot though.

Last year with that gravel parking lot to the east and the blue garage it was hard to get out of the green garage swiftly. The south exit from the green garage was right across from the north exit of the blue. It seems to all depend on how quick you got from your seats to your car. I suggest parking as low as you can in the green lot that way if you can get there fairly quickly after the game you can get right out. Otherwise you'll just have to sit and enjoy the post game coverage on the radio.
