hhcmatt
http://board.huskerhoopscentral.com/Killgans-TheCornhusker.mp3 Not exactly a basketball themed fight song but pretty awesome updated rendition of a 1909 football fight song by the Killigans. HB
That is just flippin' awesome, Dimes! I'm going to blare that from the speakers pregame, and then run through a flippin' wall! a0t0w0
AuroranHusker
That's a nice refresh of a great tune! The Cornhusker kicks a lot of new stuff out of the water, that's for sure. For the scarlet & the cream!!
Silverbacked1
Ding ding ding, we have a winner, chicken dinner. I want this played at football games and maybe change a few of the words so that it would make sense at basketball games. Like HB said ready to run through a brick wall. a0t0w0
I've got a thing for anything I can tie to whiskey...but... MAN that's awesome. Want to bridge the "Hip hop hogwash" crowd with the "hip hop" crowd? Throw them off with something like that. A+ in my book. jimmykc
Nebraska's version of the Dropkick Murphys. Jean will never approve of this rowdiness. 49r, Norm Peterson and Silverbacked1
49r
Anywhere to download this? https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/the-killigans/id251817713 It's not up there yet, but the LJS article says the song "will be available on iTunes"
Norm Peterson
Uh, can I humbly suggest they play this in lieu of Bon Jovi's "This is Our Town" before Husker basketball games? Like the HUSKER POWER chant, it would be uniquely Husker. No one else would be doing it. Our new place needs new traditions. The HUSKER POWER chant was a great start and this would keep the ball rolling. Red Rum

Red Rum
As a fan of the Dropkick Murphys I approve of this. Have them play at halftime!
swoof
IIRC The Killigans had a song used in the 2010 Ridley Scott "Robin Hood" movie with Russell Crowe. I believe it was re-recorded using traditional instruments.
Tallbaby21
Tremendous work. Should be a pre fourth quarter/ under 8 timeout song.
HuskerActuary
How much time is there between the 3rd and 4th quarter? Seems like it could be too lengthy, unless they cut out all other activities that currently occur during that time.
UnicamMan
Yes. The Killigans Rock and this song should be played.
AuroranHusker
Loved hearing it pre-game at Memorial Stadium. GBR!
Huskerpapa
I loved hearing it, but perhaps due to where I was sitting, it was more than a little underwhelming. I think this could be a big hit in the stadium if introduced at the right time and in the right manner.
Red Rum
I heard it from more than 1 tailgate on saturday. It might be catching on.
