These updates just keep getting more fun to do all the time!  We've managed to pass up nearly half the conference now, and if you'll notice we're creeping up on future B1G Maryland  (and we would have done so this weekend, but their game with Duke propelled them up about 10 spots in spite of losing).  We're 25 spots behind Minnesota right now.  Can we pass them by the end of the season???

Here is today's KenPom update:

The only other losses to teams outside the RPI top 100 were true road games to teams not far outside the top 100.

UAB is a neutral-floor loss to a team outside the top 150.  Blech.  They must have been playing way over their heads that day.  Plus, with all our new guys, we were still trying to get used to each other.  If they truly belong that far outside the top 100 teams, there's no way that happens at this point of the season.

But it's on our record.  So ...

Taken from RPI Forecast this morning.

Odds are VERY favorable now for us to get to the magic .500 mark and the NIT.

Final Record=====Expected RPI=====Probability

20-10----------------35.5-------------------0.02%

19-11----------------43.0-------------------0.64%

18-12----------------53.0-------------------4.42%

17-13----------------64.4------------------14.11%

16-14----------------77.5------------------24.34%

15-15----------------92.3------------------27.59%

14-16---------------109.0------------------18.99%

13-17---------------128.2-------------------8.08%

12-18---------------147.2-------------------1.61%

11-19---------------164.8-------------------0.19%

4.42% chance on Jan 31, huh? I wonder what the probabilities look like now...

We're also to the point where a 1-3 point win over Penn St might see us drop a few spots.  Good times!

Does anyone know what RPI the Committee actually looks at? In other words, when they sit down in their war room and have their summaries of each team in front of them, which website's RPI is smack dab on that sheet?

Do we know if they use any "sheet"?

But it would still keep us in range of the bubble.
