Does this mean no more Kent and Matt on the radio call?

 

I think this is simply (in the largest media market) an affiliate change and the university controls who calls the games. 1400 in Lincoln will still be carrying the Huskers and I don't think it effects the other western Nebraska affiliates

CHICAGO — If I had a nickel for every time someone stopped me at the Big Ten basketball tournament to ask why Nebraska slipped so badly this season, my pockets would explode.

Fellow writers, ESPN and BTN broadcasters, league officials, assistant coaches from other schools and even various fans at the hotel, once they learned I’m from Omaha, want to know.

 

Husker coach Tim Miles would have paid in far larger currency than nickels — and much earlier than this week — for answers to that question.

Theories abound. Some are fact-based. Others, not so much. So let’s explore:

True, but ESPN went ahead & published it for wide circulation (virtually speaking)... ;)

 

Do you think their bot automatically picks up all AP sports stories?

 

Doubt that it's automatic, but I'd assume they run just about everything of this nature for schools from major conferences.
