I thought we had a preview thread, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, points 10, 13 and 15 are relevant here.

Interesting about Crean being on the hot-seat and not getting any favors because of his "prickly" personality.  Remember when he went out of his way to rub the Michigan assistant coach's nose in the fact that Indiana had just beaten Michigan for the, what was it?, big ten regular season title?  Totally out of line and low class move by Crean.  I didn't have an opinion of him before that; I hated him since then.  I'm hoping he crashes but just hoping Indiana doesn't find a better replacement for him.

Here's the video of the confrontation.  By the way, the subtitles are hilarious.

I totally agree, Norm. I've never really liked Crean because his personality just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. But after he went after Meyer I was done with him. I think he probably will crash at IU and unfortunately they will probably find a very suitable replacement.

BT Powerhouse's Top 25 Big Ten Players: #15-11

http://www.btpowerhouse.com/2014/11/10/7181989/bt-powerhouses-top-25-big-ten-players-valentine-hayes-shields-hollins-wells

13. Shavon Shields (172 points)

Not many people expected the late Nebraska push and part of the surge stemmed from wing Shavon Shields as the sophomore emerged and finally broke through after a so-so freshman season. Shields proved to be one of the Cornhuskers better scoring options, adding 12.8 points per game, while also bringing in just shy of six boards an outing. The junior could improve a bit from outside as his three point shooting dropped last year to 31.6%, but he's going to be one of the keys if Nebraska wants to maintain their new found success. Also, Shields has a knack for getting to the line, averaging almost 6 free throw attempts per game. That number's not too shabby considering his status more as a perimeter player. Shields is a solid companion to guys like Terran Petteway and Walter Pitchford and if he can improve from outside he'll be a legitimately well-rounded offensive threat for the Cornhuskers.

The Washington Post is also drinking the Nebrasketball Kool-Aid.  Here is an article from this morning titled "College basketball preview: The favorites, sleepers, top players and best local teams."  Nebrasketball comes in as number 3 under "The sleepers, Title contenders outside top 10," along with 1. Gonzaga, 2. UConn, and 4. Iowa State.
